National Honor Society Logo

The National Honor Society promotes high academic standards and is an instrument for the betterment of the individual and the school.

Eligibility:

  • Sophomore, Junior, Senior in high academic standing (3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale).
  • Must demonstrate qualities of service, leadership, and character.

AWHS DEBATE CLUB

The Debate Club is a dynamic and engaging extracurricular activity where high school students sharpen their public speaking, critical thinking, and research skills through structured argumentation on a variety of topics. Members participate in friendly in-house debates as well as interscholastic competitions, fostering confidence, teamwork, and civic awareness. Eligibility is open to all high school students in grades 9–12 who maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate a strong interest in public speaking and respectful discourse. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and participate actively.
