Financial Aid and FAFSA Information

Be sure to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/as early as October 1st of your senior year. This is a necessary step in qualifying for all need-based scholarships and grants. Also, many colleges, universities, and career schools use your FAFSA information to award state and college aid. The process is free. Never pay to apply for federal financial aid. You will need your parent or guardians current Tax Return for this!

  • New Scholarships

    1. Transportation YOU High School Scholarship - Women in Transportation (WTS) Central Florida is accepting applications for scholarships from young women who are rising high school seniors. Part of the WTS goal of fostering the development of women in the transportation field is achieved by encouraging new professionals to pursue careers in transportation.
    1. Balkhi Foundation Higher Education Scholarship - The Balkhi Foundation Higher Education Scholarship seeks to help talented young people make college more attainable through a $1000 scholarship. These ten annual renewable awards are granted to exceptional high school seniors accepted to a US based college or university who demonstrate a financial need.

    1. PEO Chapter BQ, Florida Scholarship—PEO Chapter BQ, Florida Scholarships are provided annually to support actively involved students' obtaining higher education at an accredited, not-for-profit college or university. Scholarship amounts may vary each year based on the number of applicants and chapter resources.
    • Deadline: March 28, 2025
    • Award: varies
    1. Trial Pro Academic Scholarship - Trial Pro, P.A. will grant a $5,000 academic scholarship to one exemplary and deserving high school student in the community we serve for this purpose. To be considered, all applicants must carefully examine the eligibility requirements and submit the necessary documents to Trial Pro, P.A. by the designated deadline. The award will be determined based on the applicant's academic performance, and level of community engagement (Information and Application attached)
    • Deadline: April 4, 2025
    • Award: $5,000
    1. CFHLA Hospitality & Culinary Student Scholarship – There are multiple scholarships available for 2025 graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled college students planning to pursue a certificate minor, undergraduate, or graduate degree in a Hospitality Program or Culinary Program by September 2025

     

    Schoolhouse Connection Scholarship - Our program is the nation’s only national scholarship program specifically providing youth who have experienced homelessness with comprehensive support to and through higher education and into the workforce

    • Deadline: June 2, 2025
    • Award: $2,500, one-on-one support from SchoolHouse Connection staff, (3) All-Expenses-Paid Trips, Support from SchoolHouse Connection Scholars, opportunities to engage in State and Federal Policy Advocacy
